Job Summary: The Admin & Dispatch Officer shall oversee the day to day administrative operations of the organization and dispatch of ambulances at the main dispatch station.  .

Key Duties:

  • Receive and direct emergency calls to the paramedics and ambulance care assistants.
  • Dispatch ambulances to attend to calls.
  • Maintain and oversee office premises and equipment’s.
  • Prepare weekly dispatch report and related information.
  • Generate and monitor records, prepare reports and correspondences relative to the organization.
  • Oversee and supervise the work of junior and support staff.
  • Receive and distribute correspondence memos, letters, and forms among other official documents.
  • Generate and maintain contact lists for service providers, clients among others.
  • Receive and direct client inquiries and complaints.
  • Generate and report patient’s information to the dispatch desk.
  • Receive payments for cash patients when on duty.

Prepare, requisite for office and stock equipment’s

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social work and Social Administration or related fields
  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in Administration preferably in a medical industry or emergency unit.
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications desired.

Vacancy for Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist

Our partner City Medicals Kampala situated at 12 Acacia Avenue Kololo, leader in travel medicine and occupational health, invites applications for suitably qualified & experienced candidates to fill the position of Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist. This is a senior managerial and professional position, and the successful candidate shall have a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences with minimum 5 years’ experience at a senior level. Key expectations include, but not limited to;

  • Five years of demonstrable practical experience with managing laboratory programs and laboratory commodities
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with medical laboratory quality management systems according to ISO 17025  standards
  • Knowledge and competence in Strengthening the Laboratory Management towards Accreditation (SLMTA) and Laboratory Quality Management Systems (LQMS)
  • Experience in handling quality improvement approaches and providing clinical training to Laboratory personnel
  • Mentor and supervise a team of other Medical Laboratory Technologists
  • Oversee efficient medical laboratory chain supply and inventory management
  • Ensure integrity of laboratory information/records by following established protocols

Job Summary

  • Act as liaison between governing boards, clinical staff members, and department heads to implement policies so that department functions as a whole.
  • Supervise daily administrative operations including timely staff reporting for duty, customer care, turnaround time for patient visits and inquiries.
  • Monitor all hospital-expenses and suggest cost-effective alternatives.

  • Represent the company and its directors at planning, strategic and business meetings.
  • Marketing of hospital facilities in all possible forms (emails, meetings, brokering and pitching business deals) to different business entities and the community.
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Qualifications/Skills/Experience: This is a senior managerial and professional position and the successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Social Sciences, Arts, Business Administration or Public Administration, Postgraduate Diploma in Health Services Management.

  • A minimum of (5) five years’ relevant working experience and exposure in the administration function, preferably experience in Hospital administration as Hospital Administrator.
  • large operations organization or context, three of which as Head or Deputy Head at management level
  • Possess excellent organizational and leadership skills, and a problem solver with capacity to think strategically as well as provide satisfying solutions to operational problems
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Ability to accomplish targets in a timely manner

Job Summary: Oversee daily   administrative and technical operations of the radiology department

Key duties:

  • Assessing patients and their clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques and support in delivery of quality patient care.
  • Participate in procurement of imaging related supplies.
  • Undertaking quality control checks on x-rays and associated equipment and contributing to quality assurance and audit initiatives.
  • Ensuring that equipment is regularly checked for malfunctions and any faults reported.
  • Observing and maintaining contact with patients during their waiting, examination and post examination and post examination stay in the department.
  • Supervision/training and mentoring other staff who may be part of the imaging department.
  • Provide appropriate counselling and health education to patients and their relatives in conjunction with other clinicians, nurses.
  • Mobilize and participate in customer care handling of patients with urgency and compassion.
  • Strictly observe high level of ethical and professional standards as prescribed by International and Uganda Medical /Allied health professional bodies.
  • Participate in continuing medical education as required by the Uganda Medical and Allied council
  • Recording imaging identification and patient documentation quickly and accurately and observing protocols to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act and patient confidentiality.
  • Observing and maintaining health and safety at work and welfare issues, including ionizing radiation regulations to protect yourself and others
  • Carry out other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of an Advanced Diploma in Medical Radiography from a recognized institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Radiography will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in medical diagnostic radiography
  • Certificate of registration with the Allied Health professional’s council.
