Job Title: Business Development Manager
Duty Station: City Medicals – Hoima
Job Summary:
- Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings to potential clients
- Planning and preparing presentations to prospective and existing clients
- Overseeing the development of marketing strategies to ensure business growth
- Ensure that the facility is operating profitably, efficiently by providing adequate and quality medical care to patients.
- Set targets and prepare weekly sales activity plans geared towards a profitable & sustained business growth
- Ensure that all health care regulations are followed (Practicing licenses for all medical staff & operational licenses).
- General administration and management of medical and non-medical personnel to ensure productivity.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business Administration (marketing) or Public Administration, Postgraduate Diploma in Health Services Management.
- A minimum of (5) five years marketing experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Excellent organizational, leadership skills and a problem solver with capacity to think strategically as well as provide satisfying solutions to operational problems
- Hands-on performer, with an attitude to attain the industry leadership needed to prepare the business for growth and profitability.
Job Title: Medical Procurement Officer
Duty Station: City Medicals and City Ambulance – Kampala
Job Summary:
- Creating and maintaining a working relationship between the company and the vendor community for quality and timely supplies while ensuring the best value for money.
- Develop and maintain a list of pre-qualified suppliers of goods and services with detailed supplier and product specifications (Locations, prices, brands, manufacturers, their qualifications delivery times, and potential future purchases.
- Responding to requests for quotations (RFQ) from external clients with appropriate and competitive prices.
- Preparing and submitting competitive bids, tenders, prequalification and RFQs. (Have a detailed database in place)
- Evaluating and enhancing purchasing procedures and perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks for local and overseas suppliers.
- Developing procurement and asset disposal policies, procedures and regulations to ensure transparent procurement and disposal systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Supply Chain / Procurement and Logistics AND OR Medical related qualification.
- CIPS Qualifications is added advantage.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgement, good planning, organizational and analytical skills
- Experience of working in a busy medical setting with ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently.
- Good computer skills especially in MS Excel, MS Word and databases.
Job Title: Nurse
Duty Station: City Medicals – Hoima
Job Summary:
- Record patient’s vital signs and medical information.
- Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients or the caretakers.
- Administer medications and provide vaccinations and render treatment.
- Conduct a periodic maintenance and recording the nursing supplies inventory to determine inventory levels.
- Maintain a hygienic and safe treatment rooms, decontaminate equipment and instruments.
- Prepare patients for examinations.
- Collaborate and maintain a cooperative working relationship with the facility team by communicating information, responding to requests and building rapport.
- Health education of clients before medical examination.
- Helping out in the laboratory especially bleeding clients and any other duties as required.
- Counselling of clients before and after any investigations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in nursing
- Valid Nursing License
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and fill in when required
Job Title: Radiographer
Duty Station: City Medicals – Hoima
Job Summary:
- Assessing patients and their clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques and support in delivery of quality patient care.
- Undertaking quality control checks on x-rays and associated equipment and contributing to quality assurance and audit initiatives.
- Provide appropriate counselling and health education to patients and their relatives in conjuction with other clinicians, nurses.
- Strictly observe high level of ethical and professional standards as prescribed by International and Uganda Medical /Allied health professional bodies.
- Recording imaging identification and patient documentation quickly and accurately and observing protocols to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act and patient confidentiality.
- Observing and maintaining health and safety at work and welfare issues, including ionizing radiation regulations to protect yourself and others.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of an Advanced Diploma in Medical Radiography from a recognized institution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Radiography will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in medical diagnostic radiography
- Certificate of registration with the Allied Health professional’s council.
